The former Sports Minister believes that Odinga has no moral integrity to speak against corruption adding that he was partial in the condemnation.

Though he did not make direct reference to Odinga, Namwamba questioned why some governors were being defended on graft issues.

“Sometimes let us be honest in the war against graft. Someone cannot jet all the way to Kilifi just to defend a corruption suspect. That shows how unprepared we are in fighting graft,” he said.

Namwamba added: “when you condemn corruption, does it without being selective. We all want a nation that officers regardless of their political affiliation respect taxpayers’ money. Defending people whose spending has been questioned is absurd.”

Eelier this week, Odinga jetted to Kilifi County and defended local Governor Amason Kingi following alleged loss of Sh51million, a move that has subjected the veteran leader to immense criticism.
