Former ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba has finally opened his mind after resigning from the Raila Odinga-led party.
He accused Raila of betraying him, by doing so little to address issues he raised, following frustrations from party members.
The Budalangi MP said there was a ploy by some party members to ensure he did not get elected officially during party elections at Kasarani, so as to blackmail him and call him names.
''You saw how 'Men in Black' disrupted the ODM elections at Kasarani. I was to be elected as the ODM secretary general on that same day, but they came as they were sent and disrupted the meeting. It was a planned thing to embarrass me, by those who were opposed to my leadership,'' he said.
According to the Labour party leader, after Prof Anyang' Nyong'o's term as the ODM secretary general ended, Raila assured him that he was the right person to succeed the Kisumu senator.
"This did not happen at all. Raila was not there for me,'' he added.
Speaking during an interview on a local television station, Namwamba noted Raila failed to nature him as his political father.
''Raila failed me. He had promised to support me but he failed. He has mentored no one, even after assuring me a political future,'' he said, Tuesday.
