During an interview with this reporter on Sunday, Mamboleo said the strategy may be catastrophic to the opposition since it was gaining momentum in Western and coastal regions.

“Jubilee is well organized and knows how to harvest votes from opposition strongholds. The Namwamba factor is a scheme to spoil votes for the opposition and the plan is gaining momentum,” he said.

The analyst said that soon Namwamba will be fielding candidates in the opposition strongholds who are backed by Jubilee.

"It is quite open and transparent and that could see him fielding candidates in opposition strongholds and also rallying behind Jubilee in the near future. This is something that should not be underestimated,” added Mamboleo.

He also said the Budalangi lawmaker could be strengthening himself to top leadership bargain in 2022 polls hinting that he could be a possible running mate of the current DP William Ruto.

“His first mission is to grab votes from opposition strongholds and that is why you have seen him at the coast. Being an ambitious young man, he may likely run as Deputy to William Ruto in 2022 and that is politics,” he added.
