The force is no longer with Ababu Namwamba. The Budalangi MP's much hyped 'third force' in the former Western Province has hit a encountered turbulent waters especially after two MPs who were initially associated with it abandoned it.

John Waluke (Siria) and Paul Otuoma (Funyula) have since quit the so-called third force that never was. Waluke has confirmed that he has crossed over to Jubilee while Otuoma has also confirmed that he will remain in ODM.

At a funds drive in aid of Kibeu Primary School in his Sirisia constituency; Waluke said that he resolved to join Jubilee so that his electorates can benefit from the state resources. He resigned two months ago as the Bungoma ODM chairman alongside Namwamba and Funyula legislator Hon Paul Otuoma.

Otuoma quit as ODM vice chairman, while Namwamba relinquished his powerful and lucrative secretary general post.

"I will vie on a Jubilee Party ticket, Waluke reiterated. He is among the legislators who has confirmed that he will attend the Jubilee Party launch in Kasarani Nairobi.

In July, former ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba hinted at forming a third force to challenge Jubilee and Cord in 2017, following what he termed as "frustrations" by his Orange party.

"I am ruling out the option of joining Jubilee. We are in consultation with other partners to form a formidable third force to take on Jubilee and Cord in the elections," Ababu retorted.
