The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) has supplied Nandi County government with medical drugs worth Sh60 million.
Governor Stephen Sang, while addressing the press at the county offices after receiving and flagging off the drugs to various main hospitals across Nandi, said the move will enable residents to get better and quality health care services.
Governor Sang said the first batch will be supplied to referral, county and sub county hospitals across Nandi.
The remaining consignment of over Sh60 million will be received on Monday next week and will be supplied and dispersed to other health care centers and dispensaries across Nandi.
He said that for the past seven months, during the leadership of former Governor Cleophas Lagat, hospitals and dispensaries were hit by a shortage of drugs.
