Turkana governor Josphat Nanok has challenged candidates who lost in the just concluded ODM Party primaries not to ditch the party ahead of the August polls.
Speaking in Lodwar Town on Monday, Nanok urged the candidates to team up with winners of the party's ticket winners, in a move aimed at strengthening the party.
"We witnessed fallouts after the nominations. I ask all candidates who won to unite with those who were unsuccessful," he said.
The governor's remarks comes in the backdrop of a growing number of aspirants seeking various elective seats as Independent candidates following bangled party primaries.
Most of the candidates vying on an independent ticket cited unfairness in the just concluded party nominations.
Big losers in ODM included Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem), Augustine Neto (Ndiwa), Willy Mtengo (Malindi) and Nominated MP Oburu Odinga.
