Turkana governor Josephat Nanok has said that he will work with President Uhuru Kenyatta to end the suffering of his people.
Nanok who is the chair of the council of governors said that not any other presidential election will be held before 2022 and we'll have to work with president Kenyatta even after the Opposition.
This comes after NASA leader Raila Odinga insisted that President Kenyatta's election is illegitimate.
"Kenya has one President who was elected by Kenyans. Turkana MPs failed to work with the government to save our people from shortage of water and food and for the sake of development and drought mitigation. I have to work with the government to achieve development," said Nanok.
He was speaking at Jamhuri Day celebration at the Moi gardens in Lodwar.
The CoG chair who is considered an ODM Strongman will leave a dent in the Opposition is he finally ditches the party. In the August 8th elections, he beat Jubilee's candidate John Munyes with over 20,000 votes for the gubernatorial seat.
Before the August 8th elections, the Governor said that Turkana would benefit from Oil if Raila Odinga won the election but changed his mind and considered Jubilee prospects after the poll.
