Speaking at an exclusive interview with Citizen Tv, Ngilu said there are no plans for her party to join the new outfit despite being in the ruling coalition.

"Let me go on record that Narc is a party that is here to stay. I will use the party in my bid to vie for Kitui governor in the next year general election," said Ngilu.

She said Narc has been able to survive in Ukambani for a long time despite the challenge of Wiper Party in the region.

She said she has nothing personal against Wiper leader, Kalonzo Musyoka and their differences are based on ideologies and nothing more.

"Kalonzo and I are not personal enemies. We only differ in policies, ideologies and both of us are leaders of different political parties. Otherwise, we are friends," added Ngilu.

The incumbent Kitui Governor, Julius Malombe has already said he will defend his seat in 2017.
