Speaking on Wednesday morning during breakfast interview on Citizen TV, Karua said Narc-K members are free to decide who to vote for the presidency but the party will not field a candidate on the same.

"As Narc Kenya party, we shall not field any candidate for the presidency but we shall make sure we do so in other fields," she said.

The former Gichugu MP  also cautioned Kenyans against the three- piece voting system saying this has cost the nation so much.

She said a time has come for Kenyans to vote leaders who are ready to serve and those who have the country at heart no matter their political affiliations.

"I would like to caution Kenyans against three-piece suit voting. We should come out of this  mentality and elect leaders who have Kenya at heart," she said during the Cheche show.

On the issue of party merger, Karua condemned it saying this will kill democracy. She said the country has fought for long to have democracy and folding of parties will kill it.

Karua has also challenged the media to focus on building and supporting democracy rather than destroying it.

The former Justice minister who has shown interest in the Kirinyaga County gubernatorial seat said she will always pass her voice on any national issue.

"Criticising the government is a patriotic way and the people we criticise know it's out of patriotism and they may at one time appreciate it," she said.

On graft, Karua said the public have a role to ensure corruption is dealt with.

She said as Narc Kenya, they will work closely with Kenyans to ensure corruption is fought fully.

"The Jubilee government has shown shyness in dealing with graft and should up their game," she said.

She said the prosecution agencies and the Judiciary should be strengthened to enable the fight successful.
