Chief Justice David Maraga inaugurated Narok High Court, first of its kind in the County.
He said this was aimed to ensure justice prevails in the region, by ensuring cases are handled fast, and to prevent backlog.
Maraga also installed Justices Justus Bwonwong’a (High Court judge) and Mohamed Noor Kullow (Judge of the Environment and Land Court), during the Monday event.
Flanked by area governor Samuel Ole Tunai, he asked the National Assembly to allocate Sh5 billion to the Judiciary in the 2017/2018 Financial Year, to enhance services to the people.
Maraga however took a swipe at leaders with tendency of criticising Judiciary officers such and Judges and Magistrates.
Citing an incident where National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale called for High Court George Odunga's resignation after he issued a ruling on Election Laws in favour of the Opposition Cord, Maraga warned that proper mechanisms should be followed whenever anyone has a complaint against a Judge.
"If you have a problem with a judge, magistrate, come to me, I will help you. Write to the judiciary and complain. We should learn how to follow proper mechanisms in law and not to take shortcuts by attacking judiciary officers. This will not be accepted,'' he said.
