"The same AU that facilitated electoral fraud in Burundi, Zimbabwe, Gabon, Togo etc assume they can do the same in Kenya. You will be defeated!" stated NASA CEO Norman Magaya.Magaya criticised the continental body stating that they are the main cause of failure of democracy in many African countries."The African Union Election fraud and theft validation mission should give Kenyans a break. Dictatorships are crumbling across the continent," he added. This follows the release of a report by the African Electoral Observation Group on Sunday that approved the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission's (IEBC) preparations for the repeat poll. “Notwithstanding the attacks on the institution, we have observed that preparations for the elections continue smoothly in the other 43 counties and promise a smooth, free, fair and credible election." Stated Mr Robert Fola, the head of observers. The report listed four counties where the election might not take place; Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay and Migori, but stated that the electoral body was ready to conduct a free, fair and credible poll.
