[Photo: Capital FM]The National Super Alliance (Nasa) has strongly come to its leader, Raila Odinga's defense, following alleged incitement. The Jubilee Party, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, is accusing Raila inciting the people of the Maa community in Kajiado, during his tour in the region, last week.Raila allegedly asked locals not to sale ancestral land to persons who were not from the county, claims that he dismissed.Through the ODM party secretary general, Nasa said it would economically and socially empower all the marginalised communities in the Country including the Maa community. She said no amount of twisting words would negate their noble intention.Citing the alleged incitement against the presidential candidate, Zani said many other communities including those in the Coast needed empowerment, something the Jubilee government had not been able to do.She said the TJRC report clearly indicated how such communities would have their historical injustices addressed, but its recommendations had not been implemented during Jubilee government's term.In a statement, Zani indicated addressing poverty was a key pillar in Nasa, and that one way to address poverty was to retain ancestral assets and build up on them, which was not in any way, hate speech."Addressing poverty is a key pillar in Nasa. One way to address poverty is to retain ancestral assets and build up on them, economically and socially speaking this is evident, and can not be hate speech," Zani, a Nominated Senator, said in part.Raila is under probe over the claims.
