Politics is a theatre of strategy but its execution determines where one stands at the end of the day.
Jubilee Party secretary General Raphael Tuju’s political antics have pleased one Timothy Murere Njoya - a retired Minister of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa and a leading advocate for justice and human rights in the country.
Njoya suggested on his Twitter page that Tuju was the right man NASA should hire, possibly to organize their attack on the government.
“I listened to my friend Tuju on Citizen TV this evening. The opposition should hire him because the way he opposed the Judiciary appeared better organized than NASA’s opposition against Jubilee,” Njoya wrote.
He ironically added that he has rarely seen any country but Kenya where one of Government opposes the other.
While being hosted by Hussein Mohammed on Citizen TV’s Sunday Live, Tuju defended Jubilee’s stance against the Judiciary’s alleged bias and unprofessional conduct.
He said he respected judges and had nothing personal against them.
Tuju said: "It is not about what I am happy with. It is more about the public good. It is everyone's responsibility to ensure the country moves forward.”
"At the end of the day, the judiciary is supposed to serve Kenyans. I have nothing but great respect for the judges who are there.” Tuju further accused CJ David Maraga of operating like a politician. "The chief justice (David Maraga) has chosen the public domain to address this issue. And it is only fair that I also address him publicly. He left the domain of his office and decided to get into politics," the JP Secretary-General noted.
