Supporters of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) residing in the Capital City, have been asked not to start parking to leave the County, ahead of the August 8 polls.

Nasa presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, said there was a possibility of Nairobians, to leave, for upcountry, in fear of possible violence, after presidential results are announced.

Addressing a rally at Muliro Grounds, Mathare, in Nairobi, Nasa co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula echoed Raila's sentiments, saying it could be possible that, voters who were registered in Nairobi, could also decide to leave, before elections day, therefore, failing to vote for their preferred candidates in Nairobi.

Nasa called on the national government, to ensure that security was heightened across Nairobi County and other counties, to ensure Kenyans vote and peacefuly wait for results.

They said police should be deployed to curb any suspicious cases, with relation to possible violence.

"We are asking all our supporters to remain where they were registered as voters and cast their votes. The police must ensure that all Kenyans, irrespective of their political affiliations, remain safe," noted Odinga, Sunday.

He further slammed Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i, after he warned Nasa, against going ahead with the adop-a-polling-station plan, which aims to prevent rigging, according to the principals.

Raila said, Matiang'i should stop intimidating the alliance, and reiterated that they would go ahead with the initiative, on voting day.
