The National Super Alliance (NASA)  has lined up Nakuru among the counties set to benefit from its bag of goodies should it win the coming election.

Speaking in a rally in Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium on Sunday, NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka said that the alliance has plans to boost the county’s tourism sector to increase the revenue coming in as a result of tourism and hospitality.

‘’The NASA government will channel sufficient finances towards tourism in all the country’s tourist destinations. This will not only benefit Nakuru residents but the entire nation as well,’’ said Kalonzo. He further promised that the alliance will also play an important role in ensuring that Nakuru town reclaims its lost glory as Kenya’s cleanest town.

‘’While growing up, Nakuru was the cleanest towns in the nation. That is just history now. With us in power, we promise to revive Nakuru’s lost glory by cleaning it up again,’’ said the former Vice President. The event at Afraha Stadium brought together Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto; all the principals of the coalition drummed up support for the team. Raila is NASA's presidential flag bearer in the elections slated for August this year.

The team promised to reduce the cost of living in 90 days after clinching power. ‘’We will reduce the price of basic commodities during the first 90 days of our tenure,’’ said Odinga.
