Youthful politician Johanna Ng’eno is set to yet again challenge political supremacy of Deputy President William Ruto in South Rift region.
Having launched a charm offensive at his critics, Ruto has toured South Rift region more than any politician, a move aimed as taming a rebellion led by Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.
Both the Emurua Dikir MP, who occasionally led onslaught against the DP, has been appointed a head of NASA campaigns in South Rift.
Ng’eno, who was first elected in 2013 on a KNC ticket, prevailed upon both ODM and Jubilee wave in Narok County which in total produced more MPs through the defunct URP party.
Together with Governor Rutto and Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu, the trio has been giving DP Ruto political headache for over three years now.
Having fallen out with Jubilee, Governor Rutto and the team have since formed CCM, a party which has openly declared its support on Raila Odinga.
Ng’eno, who’s decent is Kalenjin community, is the only MP to have been elected in a Maasai dominated region after two attempts.
