Opposition coalition alliance NASA has urged the electoral agency IEBC to ensure free, fair and credible polls during the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking on Wednesday during a NASA rally held at Gusii stadium, Kisii County, the opposition warned IEBC against rigging the polls, noting that Kenyans will not accept compromised polls.

“We will not allow compromised elections. When the IEBC will be doing their counting, tallying and transmission of election results, NASA agents will also do the same so we compare their figures with ours,” said NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Mr Odinga further urged the Court of Appeal not to reverse a ruling made by the High Court that declared that presidential election results announced at the constituency level should be final.

IEBC has since appealed the ruling, seeking its reversal.

According to the opposition, reversal of the ruling could provide leeway for poll manipulation and rigging.
