Speaking during a debate that brought together four of the aspirants in Egerton University Thursday, Koros who is seeking the seat on a Chama cha Mashinani (CCM) ticket which is an affiliate of the opposition coalition Nasa,said he had spent considerable time in Nakuru to make him an insider contrary to his critics who maintain that he is a political stooge of Bomet governor Isaac Ruto.
"Those who still think that I am an outsider ought to know that I have been here long enough to make me an insider.I have invested in this county and I also work around here," he said.
He said if elected his key projects would be job creation especially for the youth and women and industrialization of the county.
The university don initially worked as a Finance executive in the county government of Bomet before his entry into the Nakuru race.
Other contestants who were present at the debate organised by the KTN media house included former Nacada boss John Mututho(independent),former NTSA chairman Lee Kinyanjui (Jubilee) and nominated senator Paul Njoroge Ben (Kanu).
The four alongside incumbent senator James Mungai are seeking to replace governor Kinuthia Mbugua who opted out of the race.
