National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders are finalising the calendar for their fresh presidential campaigns.
This comes after the Supreme Court on Friday declared the presidential results of the August 8 polls null and void.
Saturday, NASA principals met to draw a plan of campaigns, understood to kick off on Monday,
Their rivals, President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto, kicked off campaigns immediately on Friday.
The Jubilee Party leaders have criticised the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice David Maraga, claiming that they were colluding with the opposition.
Nasa will be seeking to consolidate support from their strongholds and woo voters in areas they did not garner many votes as projected.
NASA, whose presidential candidate is Raila Odinga, lost ground in Bungoma, Kakamega, Kisii, Nyamira and Kitui where President Kenyatta improved his vote percentage.
Raila’s team plans to ring-fence Coast, Western, Nyanza, Lower Eastern and win over parts of South Rift and Maasai land.
NASA chief campaigner Musalia Mudavadi confirmed that they were finalising their strategy that would ensure a first round win.
“We do not want to go into the second round, we want to win resoundingly and remove the lords of impunity from power. Kenyans are tired with the arrogance and impunity exhibited by the President and his administration,” Mudavadi told The Standard.
