Jubilee leaders have called on the opposition to drop their Presidential bid and let President Uhuru Kenyatta be sworn.

They said that NASA coalition is on the verge of collapsing following massive defections by politicians who were diehards to the Raila Odinga-led alliance.

The JP politicians including Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, former Bundalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, Simon King’ara (Ruiru), Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Njogu Barua (Gichugu), Didymus Barasa (Kimilili), Kago Wa Lydia (Githunguri), Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and nominated MP David Ole Sankok spoke in Ruiru during the Uhuruto Mbele Iko sawa campaign caravan.

Kuria said the politicians who previously fought and campaigned for the opposition leader have seen light and true leadership in President Uhuru Kenyatta and hence their decision to jump off the sinking ship.

“With the rate at which his backers are leaving him for Jubilee, he’ll only be left with Kalonzo by October 26. Kenyans are tired of being taken backwards by Raila,” Kuria said.

The Gatundu South lawmaker claimed that Amani Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has disclosed to him that he will be leaving ‘Baba’ soon since NASA (his brainchild) has lost direction through the leadership of the former Prime Minister.

Kuria said that the opposition has accepted the imminent defeat come October 26 and hence the reason why they are not campaigning.

“I heard the other day Mr Raila saying that he does not campaign because his security was withdrawn. He is very sure of the humiliating defeat he will get after at the poll,” he said.

“He does not need security, he requires a psychiatrist because every day he’s coming with crazy allegations, from tetanus, Safaricom, Chiloba, IEBC and others. I think he needs help from a specialist,” Kuria added.

The controversial MP also said that Raila Odinga resulted to go to London after he was barred by the American Government from flying to the US.

He alleged that Raila’s earlier plans were to go to America to meet one George Soros to seek funds aid for his campaigns.

“He thinks that we don’t know what he’s after. I wish he could honourably shelve his presidential bid and let us swear in Uhuru so that we can go ahead with our work,” Kura said.

Ababu said that NASA leaders have already panicked after witnessing their key allies bridging gaps and uniting with Jubilee.

“That’s why they want to keep their supporters busy with protests. They don’t care about the welfare of Kenyans or the country’s economy. Properties have been looted and destroyed while they remain mum on the matter,” he said.

“Raila’s last bullet missed the target on August 8 and so he has nothing else to offer. Whether he participates in the October 26 election or not President Uhuru Kenyatta will win because he lacks numbers,” Ababu said.

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said that electoral reforms that were undertaken by the Jubilee MPs were long due and necessary to silence the opposition.

“He’s against the changes because he knows that after he’s floored by Uhuru Kenyatta he won’t run back to the court to challenge his victory. He wanted to take us rounds until he’s given a higher position in the government but he has and will fail miserably,” Nyoro said.

Gichugu MP Njogu Barua said that Mt Kenya region leaders will ensure that the more than 2 million voters who did not participate in the August 8 polls turn up for voting in the coming election.

“We are calling for a 100 percent voter turnout so that we can defeat our competitors with over 3.5 million votes,” Barua said.

The MPs maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta won the last elections and will still win the coming polls.

Other leaders who were present include Nakuru Women Rep Martha Wangari and Millicent Omanga.
