The National Super Alliance (Nasa) has said it will continue with its campaigns, as earlier scheduled.
This was in response to the sudden death of Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, who was an ODM MP, for the Kajiado Central Constituency, before he was appointed to the docket.
Speaking when he conveyed his message of condolence, Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga said the alliance would continue with its normal activities, but would observe a moment of silence, in respect of the late government official, and politician.
Nasa is today, (Monday) campaigning in Kwale county and the larger coastal region, in bid to popularise itself, ahead of the August 8 polls.
The decision by the alliance, comes after their rival, Jubilee Party, led by President Uhuru cancelled their tour of Turkana county, for campaigns, to mourn Nkaissery.
Also, Kajiado Central MP, ODM's Elijah Memusi, announced that political campaigns in Kajiado would be suspended, to allow the Maa community and residents, mourn Nkaissery, who was a key figure in the region.
Memusi made the statement, when he addressed the press at the Lee Funeral Home, Monday morning, where the remains of Nakissery were taken.
