Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has sounded a warning to the Jubilee administration telling it to be wary of the yet to be formed National Super Alliance (NASA).
The MP who was speaking in Kandara said the opposition had succeeded in using corruption in government as its campaign tool, adding that should the parties unite, they could pose a serious threat to Jubilee in the 2017 elections.
“To be very honest, corruption allegations have really dented the image of Jubilee and the Opposition has used it as a campaign tool. If we don’t relook into this very well, we shall have a difficult time come 2017,” said Kamau as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Kamau was accompanied by Murang'a woman representative Sabina Chege and Kandara MP Alice Wahome.
On her part, Chege accused the opposition leaders of being selfish and asked Kenyans not to vote them in the 2017 polls saying they after changing the constitution to meet their political interests.
“NASA is only power-hungry and selfish; that is why they want to change the constitution to fit them. We are watching and they need to know Kenyans are not stupid. We backed the constitution and we will not change it to suit the interest of a few people,” she said.
Wahome, on the other hand, said the opposition’s ‘smear campaign’, will not work in their favour.
“The opposition has no ideas but propaganda. The corruption card they are using will fail terribly just like the ICC card failed,” she said.
