Ahadi Kenya Trust has opposed NASA’s plan to resume its demonstrations to push for electoral reforms. The Foundation’s CEO Stanley Kamau said the demonstrations will affect the performance of KCSE candidates who are currently sitting for their national examinations.Speaking at Mwadaza Primary School in Kaloleni Sub-County during an anti-jigger campaign on Wednesday, Kamau asked politicians to call off any planned demonstrations to allow students to sit their exams in peace.“Elections are over and form four candidates are now doing their national examinations. Leaders both in government and opposition should stop their planned demonstrations until the exams are over. If we respect children, we should consider them when planning the demonstrations,” said Kamau.Kamau said the government should hold talks with the opposition in a bid to resolve the political stalemate in the country, adding that demonstrations will not solve anything.“We must respect students doing their exams. Let there be dialogue to resolve these political problems,” he said.Meanwhile, Kamau has urged students on holiday to engage in community work as volunteers to avoid engaging in immoral activities.“Those who are at home for their two months holiday should do volunteer work such as helping people living with disabilities among other community work,” he said.
