ODM leader Raila Odinga is yet again under pressure to prevail upon Kisii Governor James Ongwae to drop his embattled running mate Joash Maangi.

After many weeks of political confusion, Maangi was ushered back to the Orange party, having worked with Jubilee team for over two years.

And a group of NASA supporters living mainly in United States of America have openly shown their dissatisfaction on appointment of Maangi as running mate and now want the party boss to intervene.

“On behalf of NASA’s diaspora liaison in charge of Odinga’s campaigns, we here by request him to drop Joash Maangi as Ongwae’s running mate,” read the statement.

They further said: “While we understand that it’s the prerogative of the current governor to choice running mate, it is also suicidal to gamble with feelings of diehard supporters.” Added the statement that was posted by Lister Nyaringo.

Prior to his reinstatement to the party, Maangi had been expelled by the party’s disciplinary committee, a decision he appeal though.

Mr. Odinga and Ongwae had ushered Maangi in last week, a day before a mega rally at Gusii stadium.
