[Photo|ODM]The National Super Alliance (Nasa), has accused the ruling Jubilee government, of going after the Registrar of the Supreme Court Esther Nyaiyaki.NASA cited the move by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to launch investigations into her conduct over the role she played during hearing of the August presidential election petition.NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, said Jubilee had gone ahead to use EACC and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), to investigate Nyaiyaki whose “crime” was to deliver a scrutiny report of election results ordered by the Supreme Court. He said, the same Jubilee was standing in defense of people like IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, even after allegedly committing irregularities and illegalities in the elections.Speaking when he met a delegation of the Abagusii leaders, Wednesday, Raila wondered why Jubilee was defending Chiloba, and his team, but going after Nyaiyaki, who he said only worked under the court's directive. He further indicated that the NASA coalition respects the independence of the country's institutions, but is opposed to protecting and defending institutions that have been manipulated into failing the nation. On September 25, the EACC, wrote to Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Ann Amadi, asking for the submission of documents used in the proceedings of the Supreme Court in regards to presidential petition filed against re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, in the August 8th elections. This is after Nyaiyaki supervised a team of ICT experts named by the Judiciary to examine the materials that the electoral body, IEBC, used to declare the presidential result, a move that saw one, Rashid Mohamed, accuse her of misleading the Supreme Court judges in ruling in favour of the petitioner, NASA.
