A total of 67 registered political parties have submitted their nomination rules to the Independent Boundary and Electoral Commission (IEBC).
One provisionally registered political party, Hut Political party, and the National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition also submitted their nomination rules.
IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati said the Commission was in the process of reviewing the nomination rules submitted by the political parties.
Chebukati said this was to ensure compliance with the prescribed guidelines and respond to the democratic principles of governance as espoused by Article 91 of the Constitution.
“One provisionally registered political party and one Coalition also submitted their nomination rules,'' he said in a statement, Wednesday.
IEBC published a public notice requiring political parties to submit Nomination Rules by March 2, 2017.
Chebukati reminded political parties to submit their membership lists on or before March 19.
