Opposition coalition NASA has condemned the alleged buying of voter identification cards in their perceived strongholds by the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking over the weekend, the coalition's chief campaigner and ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi asserted that the move is aimed at depleting NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's numbers in his strongholds.
"I am wondering why the stories of buying votes are only reported so much here in Western; you need that document on voting day," he said.
He called on the youth to remain vigilant and to report those trading their identification cards for money.
"I want to ask youths to be vigilant and if you get hold of anyone buying or selling IDs deal with them," he noted.
"We want all of you to support Raila so that we may redeem this country from Jubilee miseries," he added.
