Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe has sensationally claimed that NASA was formed to derail Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential bid.
Kagwe uttered the sentiments while on an interview in a local vernacular radio station on Wednesday.
"Kalonzo was deceived in 2013 when they even reached an agreement where he would be the 2017 presidential flagbearer," he said.
"He went round and convinced his people to vote for Cord but we can now see that his co-principals are selfish and have instead formed a new outfit to dupe Kalonzo," he added.
He dismissed any chances of NASA beating President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August polls and also warned ODM party leader Raila Odinga to stop inciting Kenyans after he claimed that NIS had an evil hand in the ongoing mass voter registration exercise.
"Raila should know we are not snakes; we are the sons of freedom fighters. We are not silent because we fear him. It is because we love our nation," said Kagwe.
