Newly elected Taita-Taveta governor Granton Samboja has refuted claims that he has ditched Wiper Party for the ruling Jubilee.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service, the County chief termed the allegations as propaganda.
Samboja asserted that the allegations were being spread by a section of NASA leaders drawn from the county.
“I am shocked that some politicians are abusing me behind my back and yet I have not spoken a word. Are they scared of me?” he posed.
The governor noted that a section of NASA leaders in the County have been accusing him of showing little commitment to NASA.
“I want to make it clear that this is not a time for political rallies. I have a bigger role of delivering on my campaign pledges of building this county,” he remarked.
Samboja has been conspicuously missing in NASA rallies, with the area Senator Johnes Mwaruma questioning the governor's loyalty to the outfit.
