Governor of Homabay County Cyprian Otieno Awiti yesterday launched a sensational battle against Safaricom, a network provider company in Homa Bay Town
The governor expressed his displeasure with Safaricom Company and urged residents of Homabay to join national Resistance Movement in resisting the services of the company.
Mr. Awiti who was elected through ODM ticket told his supporters that Safaricom collaborated with other criminals in handing President Kenyatta an illegal presidential power in August 8 elections and there is no way they will accept their services.
He declared that all NASA supporters should migrate from Safaricom and join Airtel Services.
He went on to donate free Airtel Simcards and paid for the free registration for all supporters who attended the rally.
“As the governor, I lead by example by moving from Safaricom to Airtel. My deputy and ministers of the county have also moved,” said Awiti.
The county boss assured all Homabay County Residents that he was going to cater for Simcards charges so that anyone willing to have one can easily obtain it for free at the centralized points that will be created in different parts of the county.
He encouraged NASA supporters not to lose hope and reiterated that through National Resistance Movement team, they will stay in solidarity with their president Raila Odinga until the Canaan dream come true.
