Kibwana who is allied to the NASA coalition, changed his tune on Saturday and revealed his plans to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta to serve his county.

Speaking at a burial ceremony in Machakos County, Kibwana said Makueni residents deserve development just like other Kenyans and therefore he won't mind burying the hatchet for the sake of development.

“I will put aside our political differences and work together with the government of the day for the benefit of Makueni people," Kibwana said.

“I will ensure my people enjoy the benefits they deserve from the national government, I'm talking developmentwise not politic," he added.

Kibwana urged Kamba leaders to advise the community wisely so that development can be realized in Ukambani region regardless of the government in place.

The ceremony was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, among other leaders.
