The two told the three NASA coalition principals that there is no more time to waste and should rally behind Raila-Uhuru unity pact.

NASA principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi criticised the meeting saying the move by Raila to work with Jubilee was total betrayal of NASA followers and likened it to a shepherded eating his own flock.

Speaking at St Rose of Lima Amukura Catholic Church during the palm Sunday, Ojaamong said the one year electioneering period had ended and leaders should now focus on development instead of issuing threats on others.

"The handshake between Raila and Uhuru is enough signal that leaders should bury the hatchet and focus on development. What we need now is to sit down and forge the country forward.

The country needs clean water, food for its citizens, good roads, drugs in health institutions and teachers to be employed. I am ready to receive Uhuru and Raila in Busia to cement their recent peace pact," Ojaamong said.

"This is a big hope for the country and which leaders who want to scuttle that unity should not take it lightly. They should swallow their pride and join the two leaders in forging a united nation.

I agree with the governor that it is time now for development and not empty rhetoric. That is what we believe they will do together," the clergy said.
