Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has been asked to explain the number of youths who have been employed in the county since devolution governance started in 2013.
This is after a nominated MCA George Mosiori raised alarm over the increased illegal hiring of staff in the County.
“We want our governor to explain the number of youths who have benefited from tenders and employment in the County because there are claims that the governor is allowing illegal hiring of staff and tender beneficiaries are his close allies and relatives,” said the MCA.
Mosiori assured that MCAs will table important bills in the House to help improve lifestyles in the region.
“Corruption must end in Nyamira County. Even if Nyagarama skipped opening of the House, we will not allow impunity such as corruption in Nyamira County,” he noted.
Mosiori who is also the leader of minority assured residents that there will be accelerated development in the County.
