Former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar now says that the opposition NASA alliance is once again in the list of petitioners seeking to have President Uhuru Kenyatta's October 26 re-election annulled.
Speaking on JKL Wednesday, Omar alleged that NASA's inclusion in the Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa petition as a respondent is a well-planned plot to ensure that the former Premier Raila Odinga-led alliance indirectly pushes for another nullification.
''Raila is again petitioning against Uhuru although from behind the scenes this time around. He is being brought in by the petitioner as a respondent but this will in a real sense give him a good opportunity to once again sabotage the re-election,'' said the former Wiper Party Secretary General.
NASA has however maintained that it will challenge the win but through other legal avenues apart from the court.
Omar who has since crossed over to the Jubilee side, however, maintained that Uhuru won fairly saying that the court will uphold his victory.
He called upon all the participants in the case, and the entire nation, to accept whatever judgment that will come from the court.
''We have been here before. We trusted the court and its ruling earlier and we should do it again whether or not it rules in our favor,'' he said.
