Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is on the verge of collapsing following the move by other principals not showing up for Tuesday inauguration.
In a post on his Facebook page today, the legislator said that he is keenly following the events which are unfolding in the opposition and that he will issue a public statement on the same.
“I am keenly following the unfolding situation in the collapsed alliance that was known as NASA. I will address the Nation in this regard in due course,” he said.
Early on Thursday, Makueni Governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana warned the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) from blaming Kalonzo Musyoka's failure to show up at Uhuru Park on Tuesday this week, saying that they risk destroying the unity of the coalition.
There have been mixed reactions from NASA supporters with some revealing that the move of the Wiper leader not showing up for the event symbolises betrayal.
On Tuesday, only Raila Odinga showed up for the ‘oath’ with Musyoka, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and Amani National Congress Chief Musalia Mudavadi missing in action. The act has made a majority of NASA supporters hail NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga while blaming the other principals for their absence.
Kalonzo on his part said that his security had been withdrawn under unclear circumstances, a move likely to have caused him not to attend for the function.
