Kiambu Town MP Jude Njomo has dismissed opposition’s proposed National Super Alliance (NASA) saying it is nothing but a tribal outfit that is meaningless.
The MP claims that NASA does not reflect the face of the country and that it is being used to confuse Kenyans ahead of the 2017 polls.
Speaking to journalists at Kiambu Town on Monday, Njomo said that NASA will not unseat Jubilee government as being claimed.
“NASA has no muscles to wrestle Jubilee government and we are sure that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be re-elected for a second term next year,” he said.
Njomo accused opposition leaders of inciting Kenyans against the Jubilee government. He claimed that the opposition has nothing to do and only wants to discredit the government.
“These people (opposition) have no agenda for Kenyans, their motive is to incite Kenyans against Jubilee government,” he added. The MP urged Kenyans not to be swayed by tribal outfits as the country prepares for the 2017 general election.
The formation of NASA is causing shivers in Jubilee party circles.
Political analysts say that NASA could kick out Jubilee government in 2017 if top politicians fronting for its formation remain united.
Jubilee government has however dismissed NASA claiming it is an outfit meant to divide the county.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have openly dismissed NASA exuding confidence that they will be re-elected for a second term in 2017.
