National Super Alliance (NASA) has prepared to wrest power from Jubilee in the August 8 polls, NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has said.

According to Raila, all the loopholes that could have been used to rig elections in favor of Jubilee have been sealed.

This follows the Court of Appeal ruling on Friday which mandated constituency Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission returning officers to have the final say on presidential election results at constituency level.

Raila argued that the ruling will help curb election maleficence which he claims has been denying him victory in the past elections.

Odinga has further promised an aggressive campaign across the country ahead of the polls.

The ODM party leader has urged supporters to come out in large numbers to vote  for NASA in August polls.

“This time we don’t want excuses, the court has made a ruling and we still expect the same on the ballot tender issue, we have sealed all the loopholes and the ball is now in your hands,” said Odinga as Kenya News Agency reports.

He maintained that the coalition will have five agents in every polling center to help curb cheating.

The five agents will include a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, one woman and a youth representative.

They will be tasked with monitoring the process, identifying the names of their supporters who would not have showed up to the station by 9 am, make a follow up and transmit results to the coalition’s parallel tallying centre at the constituency level before being channeled to their national tallying centre.

The alliance will also have a team to mobilise people from the constituency level to the villages.

The coalition plans to hire boda boda operators to ferry the old, disabled and the sick to their respective polling stations.

“We will ensure that all our supporters turn out to vote on that day, we will not leave out anybody, even the sick we will have to go and ferry them to vote for liberation,” said Odinga.
