Garissa Woman Rep Shukran Gure has begged residents to vote for NASA in next month’s general election.

Speaking in Garissa Town on Sunday, Gure told residents that NASA has the solution to their problems. She said that NASA manifesto focuses much on marginalized community’s across the country.

Gure said that Garissa and the larger Northern Kenya region has been abandoned in terms of development by the current and previous regimes.

“We have a chance to see development and grow our economy as North Eastern  region only if we vote in favor of NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga,” she said as quoted by the people daily.

Gure, who is seeking re-election, said that North Eastern has suffered and neglected by the previous governments.

She said that the region has nothing to celebrate about under jubilee government rule. Gure accused the Jubilee government of discriminating  the region in terms of public appointments  and allocation of public resources.

The Wiper woman rep pleaded with residents to remain focused and make wise decision on August 8. She asked residents not to be blinded by jubilee empty promises, saying jubilee cannot be trusted with leadership again.

Gure also begged residents to endorse her re-election promising to spearhead more development projects.

Gure is facing stiff competition from several candidates who have lined up to send her packing in the August 8 polls.
