A woman has accused the Opposition NASA alliance of theft.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Ann Wamuiri said the opposition outfit stole her aunt's photo and is using it in their campaign posters.
Ms Wamuiri said on Facebook that the photo depicting her aunt Miriam Muthoni has been wrongly used in a campaign poster for the NASA rallies in Kiambu.
"The picture is that of my aunt, Miriam Muthoni from Kiharu, who is a coffee farmer and was taken for the Vision 2030 booklet when the 'Makarani wa Shamba' came to visit her farm and NASA has stolen it," the post reads.
"How can she get justice?" Wamuiri adds.
However, a further search indicates that the said photo is property of Getty Images after a purchase license of $525 (approx Sh54,469), which gives the buying user global rights.
It was also credited to Bartosz Hadyniak.
The photo is now being used in a campaign poster for the Opposition in a bid to get one million votes in the Central Kenya region in readiness for the August 8 general election.
Efforts to reach the NASA officials for comment on the matter were futile as calls went unanswered.
