NASA now wants a special parliament seating to debate the IEBC audit report over what they claim has massive irregularities that must be addressed.
According to NASA luminary Musalia Mudavadi Kenyans cannot go for the August 8, polls before the MPs sit to scrutinise the register.
“Since the issue of a clean register is of great public importance, urgent and exceptional, it will determine whether the upcoming election will be free, fair and credible," said Musalia.
“NASA calls for a recall special sitting of Parliament to discuss the KPMG audit report and other violations in the conduct of elections by the IEBC,” he added.
Musalia sais NASA is drafting a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly to convene a seating as soon as possible to deliberate on the matter.
Parliamentary Standing Orders allow both the Majority and Minority leaders to ask for a special sitting of the House to debate matters of national importance even when MPs are in recess.
