[Photo|IEBC]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has finally raised its voice following reports by the National Super Alliance (Nasa) the Commission had denied them access to the servers and the Kenya Integrated Management System (KIEMS), as directed by the Supreme Court order, in the presidential election petition.Nasa asked for access to the systems, following allegations that the servers were hacked, to favour President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was declared president-elect by the IEBC, August 11, after the August 8 polls. In a ruling read by Justice Isaac Lenaola, Monday, the Supreme Court however restricted Nasa’s access IEBC data and equipment used to conduct the August 8 general election.Nasa lawyer Paul Mwangi and the coalition itself lamented that IEBC was yet to grant them access, since 4:00pm Monday.Nasa accused IEBC ICT Director James Muhati and IT expert Alex Kioni of leading the court order defiance. At around Tuesday 9:40am, IEBC responded to the claims, even as Kenyans on Twitter pressured it to comply with the court order, under #ObeyCourtOrders."The Commission has complied with orders as framed by the Supreme Court. All parties are going on with the scrutiny," IEBC twitted. However, minutes later, Nasa, led by Mwangi and Executive Officer Norman Magaya, maintained that they had not been granted access."The correct position is that the NASA team have not been granted access #ObeyCourtOrders," said Nasa.
