Labour Party (LP) leader, Ababu Namwamba, has accused the National Super Alliance (Nasa), of using his party's symbol.

According to the Budalangi MP, Nasa is illegally using a star, that LP has reserved to use.

Addressing the press, Namwamba who defected from Nasa's ODM said his party had already complained to the office of the Registrar of Political Parties, Lucy Ndung'u about the matter.

He now wants Nasa compelled to change the symbol, saying LP is the only party that should use the star.

LP's accusations against the coalition follows those of Northern Advocacy for Sustainable Agriculture (NASA), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), which accused Nasa of illegally using its acronym.

The organisation already filed a case in Court, seeking to bar Nasa, from using the acronym, ahead of the August 8, elections.
