Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has dismissed the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) as a non-existing entity only created by the media.
According to the Senator, NASA does not exist in the first place, and that the whole thing has been overhyped by ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and a section of the media.
Speaking to a local TV station on Thursday, Murkomen claimed that even if the alliance was to be formed, it will not stand the test of time as it will crumble in the run up to the August polls with key players bolting out if the presidential flag bearer puzzle will not be dealt with in the right way.
NASA which brings together key opposition figures is expected to shape the political landscape in the country, with many political pundits arguing that it can send President Uhuru Kenyatta home, making him the first one-term Head of State in Kenya.
Murkomen's school of thought was, however, contested by his Mombasa counterpart Senator Hassan Omar who said the opposition alliance will remain united and that they will throw their weight behind whoever is nominated to be the flagbearer.
According to Omar, the country's political dynamics have changed since 2013 and that as the opposition, they are going to give Jubilee a resounding defeat in August.
