Wiper deputy party leader Farah Maalim has said that the future of both National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee are dark.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with a local daily, Maalim said that the nation is at crossroads following the decision to swear in Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga last week.
“The country is at crossroads and it is difficult to predict the future. All I can say is that the two coalitions, Jubilee and NASA, are collapsing. A search for totally new formations has just begun,” Maalim said.
The remarks come after Kalonzo skipped the swearing in of the Raila, which has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
Wiper leaders are expected to meet today to discuss the fate of Kalonzo in the alliance.
Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr revealed that the party will hold the meeting to address different issues including ‘swearing-in’ betrayal and ramifications of the party in the alliance.
“We have a meeting on Tuesday. I am afraid you will have to wait for the leadership to issue a statement,” he said.
The party's leadership is expected to announce the way forward after today's consultations.
