Led by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, the leaders said that the electoral body has not addressed issues that they had pointed out after the elections. The opposition claimed that the results been presented by the commission do not reflect the will of the people.

“We are not going to be party to the IEBC declaration. The message is that the issues we raised have not been adequately addressed. Some of the issues were put in writing but they have not responded to them,” Mudavadi said.

The leaders of the opposition also said that they have no plans to seek for court intervention. Senator Orengo said that going to court was not among the options of they were considering.

“Going to court is not an alternative for us because we have been there. Every time a Kenyan people stand up to make Kenya better,” Orengo, who retained his Senatorial seat said.
