President Uhuru Kenyatta has slammed the opposition, saying they are not genuine in telling chiefs that they will be elevated, if elected, and their salaries increased.

He said Nasa was telling lies, since they are the ones who vowed to do away with provincial administration in 2013.“They are the same people who said they would do away with chiefs, now they are lying to them that they will increase their salaries when he (Raila Odinga) is elected. Such people should not be trusted,” said Uhuru.Led by presidential candidate Odinga, Nasa promised to ensure that administration chiefs would not be sacked, but rather elevated and protected as they continue with their job.
