President Uhuru Kenyatta has insisted that the Opposition coalition NASA is plotting to form a grand coalition government with Jubilee after the August polls.
“They (NASA) want a nusu mkate (power sharing) government,” he asserted.
Speaking in Kwale on Tuesday, the Head of State further questioned NASA's preparedness for the upcoming general elections, slated for next month.
“I raised the issue last year when the opposition started raising queries about the IEBC (Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission) that they are not ready for elections,” he noted.
He further maintained that elections must be held on August 8 as earlier planned, ruling out the postponement of the poll date.
“We declare that Kenyans will elect leaders of their choice on August 8 so that we can continue with our work.” he said.
