Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has claimed that the opposition alliance NASA is unprepared for the August polls.
Speaking on Tuesday at the party's headquarters at Pangani, Tuju further accused NASA of inciting Kenyans to violence, citing the opposition's threat to boycott the polls over an appeal case lodged with the Court of Appeal by IEBC.
“Kenyans have not forgotten what led to the chaos in 2007...this is the route ODM has decided to take,” Tuju said.
"ODM and NASA are facing a crisis with tens of tribunal cases on the past nominations. They should focus on sorting out their differences first," he added.
NASA wants presidential election results announced at the constituency level by returning officers declared official, saying the move will reduce rigging and increase transparency and credibility of poll results.
On its part, Jubilee Party noted that they are prepared for the elections, regardless of how IEBC conducts the polls.
"We honestly do not care whether the results are announced at the constituency or national centre. All we want is a peaceful general election," Tuju said.
