Makueni member of Parliament Dan Maanzo has warned the Jubilee Party to stop dreaming of a divided opposition saying at no point will they break up.
The MP insisted that plans were underway to come up with a presidential candidate for the opposition and that anybody fronted to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta will be supported by the rest of the opposition.
"Trust me we are working on a mechanism to come up with the presidential candidate and the person chosen will be supported by the rest of the opposition. There is no way NASA will fall apart," Maanzo told KTN's Sunday Edition.
He also expressed disappointment that the disbanded Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners were still in office yet there was an agreement that they were to vacate for the new team.
He also said that the opposition will not allow the postponing of elections claiming it was a Jubilee plot to rig the forthcoming polls in 2017.
"The election laws were negotiated, and one of the things we negotiated was that the disbanded IEBC commissioners should have left office and it beats reason that they were sneaked back into office," he said.
"The truth of the matter is that elections must be held in 2017 August. There is no way elections can be postponed. This move to postpone elections is a calculated move by Jubilee to rig the 2017 elections," he added.
