The failure to resign from their jobs has cost two individuals their EALA nomination.
Failure to resign from their jobs was in breach of the laws governing the nomination.
A joint parliamentary committee has been burning the midnight oil as it scritinises the names on the EALA nomination list ahead of the election scheduled for December 14.
The removal of the two names now means that Kenya will not be able to submit its list on December 13 as had been widely anticipated.
Another notification when the names will be submitted will have to be made.
The two individuals whose names have been expunged are Julie Njeri Waweru of Jubilee and Winfred Mutua (NASA).
Laws governing the exercise are very clear, demanding that anyone found to be holding a public office ought to be disqualified from being elected.
